Drivers in and out of Ruddington have again found themselves stuck in queues due to further roadworks which have sprung up unexpectedly today on Clifton Lane.
It’s after another gas escape was detected on the bridge over Fairham Brook. Workers from Cadent are back onsite today (10th October) – attempting to trace and repair this latest leak – just a month since the last one. Again 24-hour temporary traffic lights are in use whilst the road is dug up.
A notification from Via East Midlands has revealed these works are expected to remain in place until this Friday, 14th October, meaning hold-ups could continue along Clifton Lane & Clifton Road all week, especially at peak times.
Nottingham City Transport’s Navy 3 is also liable to delays until the gas leak repair work is completed.
